Multimedia Understanding Group (MUG) is directed by Prof. Anastasios Delopoulos and it is a part of the Information Processing Laboratory of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
MUG is active in the areas of Intelligent Image and Video processing and analysis, Multiple-cue Human-Computer Interaction, Semantic analysis of multimedia documents, Content-based retrieval of multimedia information, Biomedical Knowledge Bases and Extraction of 3D shape from motion. MUG is actively participating in a number of EU and nationally funded research projects.
MUG is closely affiliated with the Informatics and Telematics Institute (ITI) of the CEntre for Research and Technology Hellas (CERTH).
